if the writing isn’t good, I must find “good” in its accumulation. If the writing isn’t funny, I must execute precise wisdom. If the writing isn’t appropriate, I must be embarrassed. If the writing is sexual, I must trace over each word with tact. If the writing is about myself, I must balance it with “unselfish” tidbits. If the writing isn’t worth reading to an individual, I must halt production. If the writing doesn’t make sense, I must edit until it reaches directness. If it’s silly, I must invent seriousness. If the writing is short, I must push to longer. If the writing is long, I must shrink it. If it’s personal, I must steer away from “too personal”. If it causes discomfort, I must stop entirely.
